The Medisana BU 582 blood pressure monitor is a certified medical device for measuring blood pressure from the upper arm. It features innovative “inflation” technology that measures blood pressure while inflating the cuff, resulting in faster results. It also has a built-in motion sensor that ensures measurement accuracy by detecting errors and alerting the user to any movement during measurement. The device features a large mirrored LCD screen with extra-large 40 mm digits for optimal readability. It also has a color system (traffic light) based on World Health Organization guidelines for easy classification of blood pressure readings, and can detect and display irregular heartbeats.
The device stores 120 readings per user and includes a large cuff that fits arm circumferences from 23 to 43 cm.
